Brogue love

I am so obsessed with brogues right now it's out of control. This is a big deal for a former heel addict. My absolute FAVE right now is a gorgeous tan pair from Midas which I am living in right now - I never want to take them off! They are so amazingly comfortable and go with everything! My go to look with these is cuffed skinny jeans and a tee or slouchy sweater depending on weather. If I'm feeling a bit girly I pair them with cute ankle socks and my leather shorts.

Also on my list of "must haves" for winter are a black faux pony hair pair which I will no doubt live in as well. I can't wait to pair them with black opaques! Bring on autumn/winter Melbourne!

Nicole by OPI One Big Happy Fame-ily

Hello! Today I have a gorgeous colour from Nicole by OPI's exclusive to CVS Kardashain Spring Collection. Phew, that's a mouthful! I got this one at CVS pharmacy whilst I was in America, unfortunately I don't know if it will be available in store in Australia, but that's what eBay is for!

This is a gorgeous lilac shimmer, opaque in three coats, and amazing formula. Every Nicole by OPI that I've tried has near identical formula to OPI - the only thing I don't like is the awkward bottle shape!

How beautiful is this colour?? Not too bright, not too pastel, absolutely perfect. I can't wait to try more Nicole by OPI colours!

OPI - A roll in the hauge

Today is a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne - perfect for bright orange nails! This one I picked up on my holiday in New York at a gorgeous little beauty supply store/pharmacy on Park Ave. Can't remember the name though! The girl in the store was so lovely, I bought about 10 polishes and she gave me a free box of green tea - yum!

This polish is from OPI's current Spring 2012 Holland Collection. As soon as I saw the promo pictures for this collection before Christmas I knew I had to have the orange. It's the perfect bright orange colour, and of course the formula is amazing. I did three coats, as I had a bit of visibile nail line on a couple of nails after two coats, so I did three coats on all nails to be safe.

Sorry for the blurry photo - it was the most colour accurate.

OPI Nicki Minaj collection

When I heard Nicki Minaj was collaborating with OPI on a collection I could hardly contain my excitement. I love what she wears, she really makes it her own and goes all out. So I knew her collection would be amazing! I bought the whole collection which I have never done before, but then came the hard part of deciding which to wear first...

I couldn't, so I did a skittle mani with all the colours:

Thumb - Fly, two coats
Index - Metallic For Life, three coats
Middle - Did It On 'Em, three coats
Ring - Pink Friday, three coats
Pinky - Save me, two coats, layered over OPI Servin' Up Sparkle (silver), two coats

My inner 6 year old is very proud of this manicure, and I love it. Against neutral clothes the colours really pop.

China Glaze For Audrey

I am obsessed with Tiffany & Co jewellery, especially the beautiful box, ribbon and bag you get with it. There's nothing better than seeing this little box on your birthday, Valentines Day, or Christmas Day. They can do no wrong. Tiffany & Co have trademarked the actual colour they use for their bags and boxes, but China Glaze have done an amazing job at nearly replicating the colour in the beautifully named "For Audrey."

This was my first China Glaze polish that I bought, and I fell in love. Everytime I wear this colour I am constantly complimented on it, both by females and males. Being a pastel creme it takes three coats to get it completely opaque as it can be a bit streaky, but it's totally worth it. Take a look!

And compared to the Tiffany & Co box...

Pretty colour accurate, huh?

This colour used to not be very common, but I'm so glad there are so many variations of this around now. Although I'll need a backup bottle of this... I don't think I could live without this colour in my life, ha ha!

OPI Cajun Shrimp

Sometimes you just need something simple, classic, yet eye-catching. That's when you need OPI Cajun Shrimp. The perfect colour combination of red and coral, it's perfection in 3 thin coats and didn't chip after 5 days! I am usually not into red polish, but this one has the right amount of coral to it to have a special place in my heart. This particular bottle also has some sentimental value - I bought it at a pharmacy in New York when I was sick and needed medication. It was the perfect pick me up!

As you can see I've used nearly 25% of the bottle which is very rare for me! A must have colour, perfect for manicures and pedicures.

OPI Alpine Snow

I love all white nails. I know people have mixed opinions, but I adore them. As simple as it is, glossy simple white nails are one of my favourites.

OPI Alpline Snow is my favourite white creme that I've tried. 3 coats for full opacity, and minimal dragging. One coat of Seche Vite and I was good to go for five days with hardly any tip wear.  Perfection. Just looking at this photo makes me want to have white nails all the time!
